   INSTRUCTIONS

1. For Frozen Drinks always use a
concentrate mix (Margarita, Sweet/Sour,
Lemonade, Limeade, Apple Juice,
Apricot Juice, Cranberry Juice, Orange Juice,
Pineapple Juice, Guavaberry Nectar,
Kiwi Fruit Juice, Mango Juice, Papaya Juice,
Passion Fruit Juice, and Pear Juice).
2. Frozen (add 1/2 cup of extra ice)
1st fill the glass with ice / fill with ingredients
2nd pour into blender / pour 1/2 glass of more ice in
3rd blend
drinks should be a thickness slushy
enough to run out of blender, having to spoon
out is too thick, add more mix to make drink
thinner, add extra ice to make thicker.
3. Always Shake Sour Mixes
(margarita mix, sweet/sour mix,
lemonade mix and limeade mix)
\\ in the recipes means shake at this point
in the drink)
4. Allow For The Size Of Glass you use,
recipes are for 10 to 12 oz glasses.
For 8 oz glasses add 1/3 less flavoring mixes or
1/3 less concentrate mix for frozen drink.
Add 1/3 more for 15 oz glass)
5. If Drinks Are To Sweet add less flavoring and
add more for extra flavor.
6. Any of the sub flavored drinks
(apricot, cherry, peach, raspberry, blackberry,
blueberry, strawberry & wildberry)
can be made as combinations or
two flavored drinks by using half
amounts of the two flavors, example
Cherry Peach Screwdriver, add 1 oz cherry
mix & 1 oz peach mix \ fill orange juice.
(Make up your own names for two flavored
drinks that go along with your club).
7. Any Vodka Drinks can be made wit Rum with
little taste change. If you want Rum instead of
Vodka in a drink ask for by saying Rum in
front of name, example Rum Sourball,
same for Dark Rum, Meyers Rum, and
Spiced Rum. example Dark Rum Sourball,
Meyers Rum Sourball, and Spiced Rum Sourball.
8. Any Lemonade Drinks or Sweet Sour Mix
(lemon drinks) can be made as (lime drinks)
Limeade or Margarita by adding Lime Mix
inplace of Lemon Mix, example Lime Sourball.
(Any drinks with a sour mix can use a
different sour mix if one kind is not available.)
9. Triple Sec or (simple syrup) , it is a sweetener with
no taste. If a drink is to sour, you can add more
triple sec. Sweet Flavored Drinks will not need
Triple Sec added to it.
10. Flavored Brandies are not a good sweetness they
are not recommended, Flavored Schnapps are
the best to use in flavored drinks.
11. Apricot, Peach, Raspberry, Blackberry,
Blueberry, Strawberry, & Wildberry Drinks
with 1 oz cherry mix can be made with
1 oz extra flavored in place of cherry
for more of that flavor)
12. Wine Drinks can be made with the Wine of your
choice or (Champagne) by saying the name or kind
of wine you wish before the name of wine drink,
example Wine Cooler to White Wine Cooler or
Champagne Cooler.
13. Frozen Fruit Drinks and Slush Puppies with no
real fruit just fruit flavor, you can add 1/3 cup
fruit for a better drink.
14. Ice Cream Drinks can be 1/2 ice \ 1/2 ice cream
or can be made with all ice cream. Soft ice cream
blends great by itself but hard ice cream may need
ice to blend correctly and get the right thickness.
Ice Cream Drinks can use a powder mix instead
of real ice cream (blend liquid & powder 15
seconds before adding ice.
15. Whip cream on ice cream drinks & sweet frozen
drinks is great.
16. Rocks that's with ice
17. Up no ice
18. Chilled strain drink threw ice, cold (up)
19. Frozen blend in blender (add 1/2 glass of extra
ice) (small cubes best) (if drink is to thin add
more ice) (if drinks is to thick add mix)
20. Shake shake all sour mixes (three or four times)
before adding juice & soft drinks, shaking melts
down a drink making sours less tart & acidic,
but waters down juices and takes fizz out of soft
drinks, juice drinks & coladas can be shaken once
to mix drink but not required.
21. \\ means shake at this point of drink then
add the rest of drink
22. Whip blend without ice in blender or shake hard
(pour over ice) (On Top) - pour on top of finished
drink, for visual effect
23. Layer float liqueurs on each other
24. Float pour over something in drink, break the
fall of liquor
25. Squeeze squeeze lemon or lime in drink
26. Salt Rim Glasses dip glass in lime juice or
squeeze lime around rim and dip in salt
(ask if wanted first) (flavored/sweet drinks usually
do not) (do salt & sugar rim glass ahead so they
dry on glass)
27. Sugar Rim Glasses do same as salt,
(Lemon Drops & Sourballs) if wanted
28. Neat served straight up / no ice or mix
29. When Handling Glasses hold them at the bottom,
not around the rim where people put their mouth.
30. Most Drinks are a balance between sour mixes,
juices, soft drinks and sweet flavors
(which can be liqueurs or flavor mixes),
add less flavoring and more mixes & juices to
make drink less sweet.
31. Drinks In This Book Are for average size glass
(12 oz to 15 oz) Adjust amounts of liquor and
flavors for different size glasses.
32. A 15 oz Glass
Glass full to top with ice holds (6 oz liquid)
Glass 3/4 full ice holds (8 oz liquid)
Glass 1/2 full ice holds (10 oz liquid)
3/4 full of ice is best, the more ice in a drink
the stronger the liquor will taste
(less mix will fit in drink)
33. A Good Balanced Drink Is:
1/4 Liquor (to 1/8)
1/4 Flavoring (to 1/8)
1/2 Mixes (to 3/4)
12 oz Glass with ice holds about 8 oz of liquid
(2 oz equals about 1/4 of a drink)

34. A Good Party And A Good Club
have the same needs, good drinks, good music, and
good entertainment
Good entertainment should keep anyone from
getting board but not take them away from
talking for any length of time, videos, cartoons,
scenic tapes (things visual that go with out
sound). Thoughtful preparation to all these
are important.
35. Toasts Are Fun and most drinks can be poured
into shots (usually one drink makes 3 to 5 one
ounce shots) straight liquor is never a good idea.

36. Fruits To Use
Fruit Garnishes are great they
make a drink look complete.
Always wash all fruit and vegetables.
Usually sweet drinks and juice\punch drinks take
cherries. Sour drinks take lemons or limes
(usually lemons for lemon base drinks & lime for
lime base drinks. Oranges are good in orange
juice drinks. Pineapples are good in pineapple
and coconut drinks.. Cherrys can go in most
sweet drinks. Or just make up a combination of
fruit garnishes. Tonic drinks takes limes.
Sprite drinks takes lemon or lime on the side.
A Squeeze is squeezed into drink.
A Wedge is on the side of glass.
A Twist is a strip of the rind twisted into drink
37. Cutting Fruit Lemon, Lime, Or

I have worked on this book for more than thirty years
and have bartended for more than twenty years.
This is everything I have learned...

I wrote the base of this book in the late 1970s
and kept adding to it threw the years.
I copy righted it in the early 1980s because I knew
it was the only great thing I would ever do.
I used to make up my own books and give them to people
all the time, I probably made up a 100 of them
threw the years and they cost me about $7.00 each to make.
When the internet came around I thought, with this I could
give my book to everyone. So I started my site in 1987 myself
as www.mixdrinks.com and had that name till 2000, but then
I let my name drop so I started my site back up as www.mixdrinkbook.com .

THINGS I'VE WRITTEN (by steven foster)
(takes seconds to read, years to understand):

* Physical Laws are the truths to measure all other truths by.
If your beliefs are contrary to physical laws, their probably not true.
* People want to believe there’s some kind of awareness
or consciousness in death. There’s not .
Death is exactly like it was, before we were born.
We didn't exist before we were born and we don't exist after we die.
Without religion death is inconsolable.
Nothing last forever, except for time...
* There's no meaning or purpose to life what so ever,
except those we create in our life and mind.
* Our soul is just an illusion of our intelligence.
* How to see in 4 diminsions:
Degrees, Probability, and Empathy.
These are the fourth diminsion.
They shade in the color of trueth.

KARMA (by steven foster)
(What I Have Found To Be True) :

Ones Character Is The Greatest Influence Of Ones Karma.
It is that which one habitually performs and recollects, ones habits,
ones second nature, this is what forms the character of a person.
Improve Your Karma, Heres How :
1. Smile And Open Doors For People.
2. Give Money To Beggers.
3. Give Compliments.
4. Be Empathetic.
5. Forgive.
6. Do What You Feel Is Right.
7. Speak Up Against Wrongs. (you are to some degree complaisant in the wrong, if you say nothing)
8. Don't Help Those Who Hurt Others (People or Companies).
9. Don't Use Or Have More Than You Need.
10. Don't Have Expensive Things That Server No Purpose Or Small Purposes,
That Could Be Serving Purposes Greatly Needed By Others.
11. Try To Make Things Better.

SOLUTIONS TO PROBLEMS (by steven foster) :

1st Problem - Having to Die is a problem.
Whether something can be done, has degrees of probability.
On the probability whether its possible to recreate something that already exists,
I would think there is a good probability of that. If we could put all that the brain is
into a computer and it into a robotic body, we could live almost forever.
Whether when we die, we go to a better place or we just die,
each has a degree of probability.
For the first time in our history, we can think of overcoming death.
What could be more of a goal for the human race.
* Imagine that at the end of life everything is lost.
All our talents, our knowledge, our dreams, our loves,
all our experiences, all lost like tears in the rain.
To the world your life is insignificant but to you
your life is everything you have are ever will have.
* For 200,000 years as humans, for 5000 generations
there has been nothing we could do about death.
Just right now in our time as the human race we might.
If we could make a computer that does what the brain does,
find a way to transfer the brain to that computer,
and make a robotic body that works from that computer...
Where a human body has to do a million complex things.
A robotic body could do what it does simpler and less complex.
We don't need to replicate the complexity of the human body
but make something that replicates its abilities. roboticlife
last words of - Elizabeth I, Queen of England (1603)
All My Possessions For A Moment Of Time.

the new x prize - (If I Could Make Days Last Forever.)

2nd Problem - Unfairness in life is a problem.
Since life is random, unfair things can befall the good and the bad.
Thou ones actions greatly influence how much good and bad fills our lives.
Still the range of controlled fairness in our world is unfair.
Not having the basics for a good life is unfair.
Food, Shelter, Healthcare, Education, Happiness, and Hope
should be a human right, an American Right.
To be a Fair Country is in our best interest
and it is the right thing to do, for ourselves.

3rd Problem - The Environment will be a problem
for most of the world in the future and will increase with time.
Burning things for fuel and energy is the way of the past.
We should allow karma to be a factor in our decisions.
Damaging the world for our present convenience and pleasure is wrong.
Where is sacrifice for the something bigger than ourselves.
They say those who can't sacrafice
present rewards for their future, have none.

4th Problem - Money selecting our politicians
and influencing decisions that effect us all is a problem.
Greed and Corruption in our political system takes some
to a lot of our Health, Happyness, Security, and Pride.
Money in our political system favors those that are in power.
The way to change that, would be to allow everyone to vote
on our big decisions threw a phone system.
Till the greed, the corruption, the money is taken out of our political system.
Till then its just a shell game the rich play with us.
Wasteful and bad decisions our government makes is a problem.
My solution is government financed blackberry phones for every one.
With information sent to phones on decisons that our country needs to make.
Everyone gets a vote on what our country does and is. It's a scientific fact that a large amount
of people will always make a more correct decison than any one person.
